The Guangdong TV Journalists, in Italy to cover the upcoming Guangdong Week at the China Pavilion at EXPO 2015,  met the City Councillor Casa and the CEO of the PARMAforEXPO working group Azzali. The Chinese guests then visited some companies epitomizing the excellence of our territory.

Parma, October 7, 2015 – A Chinese television crew from Guangdong TV arrived this morning in Parma to meet the representatives of the PARMAforEXPO working group and to tell in pictures the specificities of the economic fabric of our territory. The main focus of the TV report will be the food industry, with its typical products known and appreciated throughout the world, and the food processing industry.

The journalists of the Chinese television came to Italy on the occasion of the upcoming Guandong week (next week) at the China Pavilion at EXPO 2015: Guangdong Province is the first Chinese province in terms of GDP and foreign trade. On that occasion the Emilia-Romagna Region, which last May signed a memorandum of understanding with the Guangdong Province, will welcome an institutional and a business delegation consisting of over 50 Chinese companies.

The visit to Parma is therefore an anticipation of the next visit by the Guangdong delegation to Emilia Romagna. This morning the Chinese television crew was received to the town hall where they interviewed Mr. Cristiano Casa, the Councillor for Productive Activities, Trade and Tourism of the Municipality of Parma.

After a visit to Prosciuttificio Giancarlo Tanara, that since 1960 produces Prosciutto di Parma and is now among the most known and appreciated in Italy and abroad, the Chinese television journalists were welcomed at Palazzo Soragna -the Headquarters of Parma’s Industrialists Association- by Prof. Cesare Azzali, the Director of UPI and the CEO of PARMAforEXPO.

In the afternoon the Guangdong TV crew then visited another excellence of the Parma territory: the company CFT, a world leader in food processing plants which has been present on the Chinese market for many years now.
